Held at the luxurious Mount Juliet Estate in County Kilkenny on Thursday, 6th December, TaxAssist franchisees and staff enjoyed a highly informative morning and afternoon conference, rounded off with a dinner to celebrate a highly successful year for the network.
The event was hosted by Alison McGinley, Managing Director, and Michael Scanlan, Training and Technical Manager. They were supported by Sarah Robertson and Richard Chatten from the UK Support Centre, and Joanne Kelch, Marketing Executive from the Irish Support Office.
During the morning conference, Alison and Michael revealed the new software estate for the network, along with a new partnership with Relate for accounts production – all with the aim of driving productivity improvements and greater profitability for the franchisees.
New training courses for 2019 were announced, as well as details of a national television campaign due to be broadcast next year alongside supporting marketing materials.
Mel Dowie, Network Development Consultant for Receipt Bank, finished the morning session by giving a presentation on how franchisees and their clients can make best use of the Receipt Bank software.
In the afternoon, the network was joined by UK franchisees Gary and Cheryll Jacks who shared their experiences and the benefits of outsourcing in a Q&A session with Sarah Robertson. Franchisees then attended breakout sessions where PAYE Modernisation and a Marketing Forum were discussed.
Alison said: “It was fantastic to see so many of our franchisees at the conference and to share with them our exciting plans for the future.
“The new initiatives we have unveiled are all centred on improving the productivity and streamlining the running of franchisees’ practices. This in turn will free up their time to work on value-added services, leading to improved profitability.
“Everything is now in place to allow franchisees to grow really substantial practices.”
